FSU gets the sweep.
Worse yet, we can't get a hit to save our lives.
Only 5 runs in 3 games.
This team has serious offensive issues.
Not sure how we'll turn it around at this point.
This is starting to become too repetitive for my taste.

Hopefully it's just a cold weekend. I was starting to get hope after the start of the year where it looked like we had some pop

I hear you.
We'll see how they bounce back.
But this weekend. Ugh. Brutal baseball.

It would be fitting that Hyman fires Childress and not Kennedy.

Can we get rid of this coach yet?

It's probably bias on my part, but I expect more from our baseball program than I do from our men's basketball team. Aggie Baseball has the pieces: Former Students who buy season tix in droves and drive in from across the state to see em, a recruiting hot bed, shiny new facilities, a ridiculous amount of support from the student body, and a historic culture of winning.

I'm not a torch & pitchfork fan; on the contrary, I'm far too conservative when it comes to making personnel decisions & pulling the trigger. But Childress has had ample time to get this team deep into Omaha--at the very least. I hope to see a big turnaround the remainder of the season; otherwise, I'm very ok w Hyman going in a different baseball coaching direction next year.

I admittedly don't follow aggie baseball that much, but it seems it's the same story every year. Solid pitching and no offense. And I think the one time we made it to the cws we proceeded to lose our first two games. Too many talented ball players in our region to consistently be coming up short.

Being shut out twice...only 13 hits for the entire series...It feels like we've been down that road before.

Perhaps it's time to start bumping some threads: Childress May Not Survive the Season

I don't want to make a knee-jerk reaction after the nightmarish series we just had; maybe they'll get off the plane tonight and have a team-wide come-to-Jesus moment.

But something's got to give with this offense. SEC play is going to be an obscene bloodbath.

Me neither; this too shall pass.

Besides, Hyman gave Childress an extension in October that'll keep him around until 2018.

Road jitters is what I attributed it to. I am not gonna worry unless it happens again but I've been an Astro fan my whole life so I tend to just roll with the punches when it comes to baseball.

Hope you're right, A4L; but apparently we're 6-17 in our last 23 road games. And that's non-conf play.
They're going to have to get over the jitters pretty damn quickly.

At the very least, I think we need to get a new hitting staff. It feels like we haven't had even above average hitting in 4+ years.
