That is the SAME logic used... 

So if it is ALL about player safety, then lets make blitZing illegal
fresh defensive players are much much less likely to hurt themselves or the offensive player because they are less likely to lose form when tackling. Also, I wish people would stop likening this to stopping blitzing (a post snap activity, an actual play, vs an abuse of presnap procedure quirk). It's a spurious analogy. Defenses have already been neutered on the field about as much as possible. The only sports analogy I've heard that hold up to even the slightest scrutiny is the baseball fast pitch.

no its not, its a great analogy, if you cant see why, you are blinded by the real false claims.
