This basketball is just terrible. It's fricking embarrassing. If Ray doesn't get some talent this year and at least make the NIT next year he needs to go.

We started out decent but have gotten progressively worse.

Cut off the game as well.

So much resemblance to year 2 of Cohen which was a TOTAL shitburger where we actually regressed. Not to say Ray gets it going like JC did -- just that the years are similarly painful.

Year 3 will tell the tale one way or another. If we aren't in the postseason next year, he's gotta go IMO.

I have to assume that the process of getting Stans back from his water park is going to be a lot like when Randy Quaid goes to find Robert Duval on his farm in Days of Thunder.

Stansbury has been recruiting and evaluating. Excellent chance he's coaching in the SEC this year somewhere.

A few more games like tonight and it might be for State.

Didn't know you could find shooting that bad. 33% from the floor and 12% from 3, they had 33 defensive boards to our 18.

Brooks needs to be gone after this season. I've been one of Ray's biggest supporters but Gavin Ware has gotten worse and worse. He plays like a damn pansy.

Yeah -- just a total shitburger. It's to the point that there is NOTHING redeeming in most of our losses.

It's depressing and aggitating --and it sucks bad enough that I will limit my watching so that I don't start trying to draw "big picture" conclusions from a point in the rebuild that there's really none there to draw.

Bet your arse I'll be paying close attention next year -- and if we aren't an NIT team by then, it'll be time to clean house again.

Still not in favor of going back to the Stansbury era. Making the wrong hire still wouldn't mean that it was the wrong decision to get rid of him.

I am not angry about ray getting hired. I just hope stricklin will admit the mistake if he does not do well next year. Ray is not getting the talent in.

Had a guy tell me tonight that "big" news was coming to the basketball team before long. He hinted at the fact we were getting Malik but I'm not going to even begin to get my hopes up on that one

That being said is a reliable source but who knows

There are a couple of guys on various boards that know Big Train IRL and talk to him pretty regularly. Until one of them starts hinting, I'll remain skeptical...

Stansbury just stayed a few years too long. We weren't about to make a splash hire with the shite hole he left us in.

I've watched enough games to know we don't shoot FT well.

300th out of 351 teams.

If you honestly want Stans to come back in any fashion....then frick you.

Stans was horrible and I blame him for everything.
He's still to close to this program, and the old dumbasses (the ones who happen to have the money) won't support the new coach untill their guy is fully out of the picture.

Baseball didn't get better till Polk and his diehard lackeys finally accepted Cohen, and there are still some who wish Polk was still in the dugout.

If we left MSU up to the old dumbasses with money we'd still have Jackie, Polk, and Stans...and we'd be in a horrible position across the board.

At least Rick Ray coaches, but I do have to agree that it has been a shitfest these last couple games in Basketball and I said all along, give Ray another year or two to recruit and build up "his" team.

Stans won...... just saying.

I guarendamntee he wouldn't have gotten beat down by an average Georgia team at home by 20.

The shooting last night was pathetic. The zone D in the second half was worse that pathetic. Chicken fired a pass to the clock keeper. He fired another one to row 5. He shot a FT off of the backboard. Borchert could barely find the rim. Cunningham apparently was told that he couldn't pass the ball, so he just shot, shot, shot. Hell, Ready missed a FT and shot an air ball.

...and don't get me started about the foul 80 ft from the basket with 1.7 seconds left in the half.

Baseball. Tomorrow. Boom!

The frick... The last SEC game he coached for us was a horrible loss to UGA in the SEC tourney. Do you really have fond memories of that shite show?
