Rent an RV and give them the complete Dega experience. I used to go every year back when I had more money than sense and it's some of the most fun I've ever had. I never did the infield thing because you can't see enough of the race track from there during the race. Get them OV HILL tower seats, you can see most of the track from there.

I do both Talladega races every year, but we take an RV and camp. Much better experience not having to fight post-race traffic. Traffic before the race isn't as bad.
Anyway, there's a Hilton and a Marriott right in that area you're talking about. It'd be about an hour drive the morning of the race. 2-3 hours after the race would be my guess. There are a bunch of restaurants in that area, though most are chains. That said, Fleming's Steak House is at the Summit and is a great place to take clients. Down 280 south of 459 there's a Chuck's Fish and a Bellini's(Italian steak house) that are both good. If you're trying to avoid chains.
Feel free to shoot me any other questions. I live in that area of Birmingham, and like I said I go to both races every year.

Also, I've been going to both races for about 12 years now and the atmosphere is a LOT more family friendly nowadays. I think in the 12 years I've been going I've only seen 2-3 sets of titties, and I haven't seen any in 4-5 years. Though a lot of that has to do with where you sit/camp/park, etc. Our campground(privately owned) is pretty tame.
It's just not the party it used to be. When the economy tanked in 2008, there have been less and less people each year. Our campground used to have a waiting list to get a spot, and this past race was only about 50% capacity.
It's still a good time though. I don't particularly care for NASCAR, but always have a good time at Dega.

The Westin is probably the nicest upscale chain hotel currently. It's right on I-20, and has a Todd English P.U.B. LINK
There's not much else close to it, but it's only a five or six minute drive or cab ride to high end dining or the bars on the south side.
ETA- I can't help you at all with race info, but if you tell me what your clients are into, I'd be more than happy to suggest restaurants, etc.

This. I would opt for C & C campground which is right behind turn one in the Tri Oval. Great Location. Make it a tailgating experience. You can rent RVs from several places, Dandy RV in Anniston.

Rocky, RVs can be expensive, but it is the ultimate way to go. It's awesome to have several RVs all in a group partying and have a golf cart or something to get around.

That's where I set up. Great spot, and an easy walk to the track. Great folks that run it as well.
