A short leash like was doled out to DJ is likely what Bama will offer to him if J. Bonner approves everything.
It seems like it is gonna happen though so those in disapproval be ready to eat some crow if he's good and keeps his nose clean and ToD batten down the hatches.
I won't comment on whether or not I approve but I will say that to Saban everyone deserves a second chance and he tends to believe he can fix a lot of issues teens coming into college from HS have or else he wouldn't have bothered leaving Miami for Tuscaloosa. If Taylor works out for Bama, applies himself and uses his God given abilities and size he will make an impact even as deep as Bama's DL is. There is a structure system at Bama and support in every way that Taylor might need and much like Jarran Reed basically created his draft status out of nothing (not the same issues of course) he has an opportunity to go from a kid kicked off another SEC team for good reason, to rehabbing his college career and his image and possibly be an NFL Draft selection because he has that much talent. If it doesn't work out, Bama has plenty of depth on the DL to withstand the hit the depth chart takes.
Just my humble opinion

Eat some crow? Why? No one has claimed he doesn't have talent or predicted that he's going to get into trouble again. IF he does come to Bama, I (as well as everyone else who disapproves I'm sure) will be hoping that he does succeed and makes the most out of the opportunity he's given. That however would not change the fact that I do not think he should be allowed to enroll at Bama. Hell, why don't we just go ahead and invite Eddie Williams back? He deserves a 2nd chance too, right?
