Interesting post from Matt Womack's dad that brings perspective to the recruiting process:

lets talk the recruiting process.
Today is 10/16 and all I can say about Matt is he told me 2 days ago he is solid LSU.
The word Commitment that everyone is always talking about and how kids don't understand what the word means, Well the coaches don't understand it either and they are grown men.. Take Jerry T been solid ND for a long time but coaches from all schools keep calling, going bye the school and even fly's in to a game in a helicopter.. To a 17 year old that's a lot of presser!
Matt has been flooded with calls, visits and twitter is a 24/7 recruiting site that's unlimited contact, Then you have 5 or 6 reporters from every school calling (unlimited) texting, twitting what ever they can do to get a story.. Now every recruit has players on his team talking about how great the school they pull for, then you have the girls or girl friends trying to change the recruits mind.. Also when your a big recruit you have teachers talking to you about there favorite school.. Your family members are talking to you about there favorite school, the head coaches of all these schools start calling selling there program.. Now football season is in full gear you have friends wanting to go to games, Hey I got a friends brother who goes to whatever school lets go spend the weekend and have fun, Okay 17year old kid is ready to go, that starts all kinds of story's, the next week you got another group wanting to go to a another school and it goes on and on.. So until you have been there, don't talk about a recruit changing his mind about the biggest thing he will ever do in his life... Until the process is changed and they allow a early signing period its only going to get worst.. Even I cant say anything without a screen shot or a reporter adding his own words or opinions and its getting very old and I cant wait until signing day #GeauxTigers

how do most kids talk these days? It's not on the phone it's through Twitter, Facebook snapchat and ever coach across this country has unlimited contact through these sites so even with the Financial aid agreement it does not give a staff an advantage in recruiting.

Plus with us already having a Darrell Williams type in Josh McMillon
Williams is considered a coverage backer, while McMillan is more of a 2 down thumper. I don't see the resemblance.
Hoover recruits are overrated regardless...

I don't see the fluidity in Williams or McMillon. Both just seem stiff to me.

I hope these recruits on campus are paying attention.

I don't see any stiffness with McMillon. Especially before he gained a lot of weight. Looks a lot more athletic than Ragland did coming out of high school.

This is where my criticism comes from. He's a beast as long as he keeps his weight down. When he gets heavier he looks like a less athletic Depriest.

If CeCe Jefferson knows what is best for him he'll come to Alabama.
Florida is a dumpster fire.

I don't see why he wouldn't commit to bama. Of course, i know he won't end up here. But, damn.

Anyone who chooses to go to Florida at this point is just a straight up Gator fan and no one else ever had a shot.

Jesus Christ I hope not...well Depriest looked athletic as hell before he got here.

My biggest fear is that he will gain weight here. If he gains too much we need to put him on the dline instead of trying to plug big, slow linebackers in the middle against our HUNH schedule.

Getting divorced. Again.

That sucks. I think Bucc is going through that as well.
