even though he is no longer with the Tide. This time he rolled on his mom and will not face any jail time for kidnapping. Wonder if another SEC program will pick him up...is Ole Miss as a possibility?

Jesse Mae Brown Pollard, described as orchestrating the plot, is scheduled for sentencing Feb. 18. She faces 20 years to life.
Pollard's son, former University of Alabama basketball player Devonta Pollard, was allowed to avoid prosecution if he stays out of trouble for two years. He said he didn't know about the plot until it was too late and testified against his mother.

If my mom lied on to and had me in position to go to jail, I'd roll on her arse too. She is the one who is at fault here. Devonta just got caught up in a family affair that got out of control.
Glad to see the young man doing well at EMCC and Im sure somebody will take him and wouldnt be surprised if its Troy where former MSU ast coach Phil Cunningham and former EMCC ast Billy Begley are at now.

Currently, LSU and Auburn are the only schools that take thugs from other schools. Alabama takes their own thugs, so there's your choices.

Why do you think he would fall to a place like Troy, not as good as he was billed to be coming out of HS? Seems like there are several programs in the SEC would take a chance on him. If I were Kennedy and could tolerate Henderson, I would definitely give him a look.

On the one hand, I want to argue that he simply was not as good as he was billed to be coming out of high school, but then on the other hand I realize that Anthony Grant coached him at Bama, so it's probably not entirely fair to pin his offensive performance here totally on him.

Let'em have him. The only program to under preform like Alabama Basketball is probably Texas Basketball.

He can't shoot, has a tough time dribbling, and he's very weak. A place like Troy would be perfect for him. Other than jumping, he lacks basketball talent. That was my observation from his one lackluster year at Bama.

I wanna say I read something that said he had to stay in the state due to having a sentence suspended for 2 years.
Could be wrong though.
