A&M fans are an odd phenomenon. Why are they so fired up about a coach that has not won a championship, but had a great player. I don't get it.

Because he's building a program--and doing it the right way.
It's been far too long since we've had that in Aggieland.
So yeah, it's exciting to have Coach Sumlin on-board.
When he was hired two years ago, it wasn't under a "championship by 2015 or else" clause.

hey look...it's the coach with the best player ever and couldn't finish higher than 3rd in the West. lets give that man a huge raise and buyout.

Yeah I don't understand it either. It's like they think TAMU's 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 defense won't be the 2013 version. Or that the twelve freshman that played in the two deep this year haven't reached their full potential.

It's a good thing Auburn isn't a better job than A&M. Otherwise Sumlin just might have accepted the gig when it was offered last offseason.
