I would add Vanderbilt to caring. South carolina should too but they seem to have gone all out football.

But why does it have to be relative to football?
There's no relation to another sport in the pros. In fact, it probably helps galvanize the sports. Makes a town a "great sports town".
For whatever reason, the powers that be have just accepted mediocrity.
