Are any of you excited for next year?

I know that we had a pretty bad year, but next year will be win-win.
First win: We change back to the spread.
Reason why it's a win: Two things can happen. The first is that we could actually improve, use the players to their fullest extent and of course, win more games.
Even if it fails: It'll be hilarious watching us switch to a gimmick offense and it is a miserable failure.
I actually think we'll do well, but I really want to see what Muschamp comes out with for offense. I have no doubt it'll be an utter secret until the first game of next season.

I think a good amount of the Spring practices will be open to the public to create some excitement. I know many of you will laugh at that, but it is being discussed by WM and the administration.
I don't understand your comment about the Spread and how it is a gimmick offense? CFB is about 80% spread right now, so that statement makes no sense.

My only excitement is that 2013 is over and we can put it behind us.
I'm apprehensive with shreds of hope mixed in about next year.
Unfortunately, I don't have any faith in the coaching staff, so until I actually see them turn it around, I won't be very excited.
That being said, I'll still be at or watching every single game.

Closing them hasn't been entirely Muschamp. There seems to have been this decision about how great it would be to limit access post Meyer by several people who have control over it. It's as much Steve McClain as anybody, and several journalists I know have been begging him to give a little bit, their point being that limiting access when the wheels are coming off has only made everything more toxic, not less.

This is my exact sentiment at the moment. The coach will have to earn my trust/faith.... because not much over the last three seasons has shown me much to believe in.

Apparently they said we're going to be an "up-tempo triple option spread" offense next season. That's as gimmicky as it gets.

A little bit, I think it'll be an interesting one to watch. I definitely hope we have a much better year.

If it wins us games, I CGAF. I just want to win.

I am.
I'm excited to see what Roper can do with the offense in less than a year, Joker has more practice with the WRs and if we have everyone healthy
Nothing could be worse than this year. And if the season turns out to be bad, we'll get a new coach. There will be a change either way.

I've had the pleasure of hanging out with Joker a few times. It seems teachers trying to avoid undergrads and coaches trying to avoid undergrads often end up in the same places if you both still like getting out of the house for an occasional drink.
We never really talked shop as I imagine when he is trying to let off steam that is the last thing he feels like doing, but he is a sharp cat. I gathered that he is here because he seriously wants a ring and thinks Muschamp can do it. I also kind of wonder if part of his job isn't to be a sounding board due to his having experience as a head coach. This is 100% speculation on my part, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have a lot to do with getting Champ to rethink our offensive direction.

If there was one good thing about last season it was our receivers. Until our team gave up, they looked very sharp on their routes. Ten times better than last year. There was part of me that wanted to see him promoted, he deserves more than a position's coach.
Also, in regard to what gets the win: I really don't give a shite either. As long as we have something that works, I wouldn't mind having Navy's offense. Anything. Just as long as we get back to winning.

"up-tempo triple option spread"
Link? Quote? I haven't seen that anywhere.

LINK
''Just heard Gators coach Will Muschamp plans to switch to up-tempo offense in 2014 and is willing to scrap pro-style system''
Can't find the source, but I know a few other people have been talking about the triple option playing a bit in the offense. We know it'll be a spread, unless we're going to run the up-tempo pro next year.

Triple-option?! That'd be news.

A Spread O doesn't mean a triple option offense. I have heard nothing about a Spread Option offense, from "inside" the program. There's talk of some "up-tempo" stuff, but it won't be Oregon like. They will pick the times to go to it.

The talk of the spread option is probably that Cook quote that said he was told our offense was going to be like Auburns. Think Fowler said something similar on twitter

There was talk from players and fans alike. Well, if an FCS can effectively run it at home against us down 19 scholly players. I figure we might be able to do something with it.

There's 0% chance UF runs the triple option like Ga. Southern did. UF might run some sets like AU, but in the end, I expect it to be more like ATM's O.

I have it on good authority that UF will install a wishbone attack and our qb is a little known walk on named Felipe Diaz. 5'8" 165.

In the words of Archer: Duh and, or hola.
Of course not, but the spread triple option isn't too farfetched.
