I'd be surprised if they were still in the top 5, but I wouldn't be terribly shocked if they dropped all the way to 10 or so. I'm guessing they drop behind Mich. State, South Carolina and Oklahoma, and finish 6-8 depending on whether Missouri and UCF jump them.

I say sixth. Alabama is still a great team.

No doubt Bama has a great team, but ranking depends on performance, especially late in season. I think they finish in top 10, but it will be close.

I am interested to see where Saban votes his own team.

Come on now. OU is not that bad of a team. Bama lost to a good team.

4th above Oklahoma.
1 and 3) Auburn and FSU
2) MSU
who would be ranked against Bama. They would be favored over every other team and would beat them 9 out 10. They pass the eye test, results do not matter.

3 Mich St
4 Mizzou
5 S. Carolina
6 Oklahoma
7 Bama
8 Clemson
7th or 8th, imo.
eta - forgot Oregon. Could drop as low as 9th. So 7-9 range would be what I'd expect.

What are you smoking?
If OU is not ranked above Bama, something very amiss! Also Bama finished season with 2 losses in a row....Should not rank above other 12-2 teams who ended the season on high notes.

Lol the results determine the rankings you dip shite.
They just lost their last two game of the season. What in the blue frick does the eye test have to do with anything?

And even with the 4 team playoff next year, being preseason ranked in the top 5 versus #18 could be the difference between suffering a loss or two and being able to bounce back into that top 4 or not by season's end. Both of Bama's recent NCs would likely not have even been possible if they hadn't started off highly ranked in order to recover from the loss.
Another great recruiting haul and the Saban staying factor will probably wash away most of the disappointing two game skid to end this season, but it will still probably cost them a spot or two preseason.

I know with Louisiana having a worse school rating and system than Bama is fact, everyone should still be able to count above 10. Bama already has 15.
