LINK

I am going to sit back and enjoy AD and MKG dunking all over Louisville in preparation for tomorrow.

Here is to Cal extending his record at UK against Pitino to 5-1.

I posted on the MSB that I thought the UK/UL game was the biggest CBB rivalry. It was not well received

UNC/Duke probably gets the nod because individually they've been more successful than UofL and their game almost always has major conference implications. It's hard to compete with that.

True. I should have said recently. I think the Duke/UNC game just gets so much more extra pub compared to the UK/UL game when I think they are on even footing.

I think that the fact that they 2 or 3 times a year lowers the implications of it.

Some of my favorite UK/UL moments:

1) Last minute of UK vs. UofL in '04: Patrick Sparks*

*Like fricking ice water.

2) The Full UK vs. UofL Final Four Game in 2012. Why the full game? Because it's fanfrickingtastic.

3) King Rex's 26 points over the defending champs from '86

Most of that is massaging in the national media by ESPN. The biggest rival is, and should be, UK vs IU especially now they are upgrading Assembly Hall. Cameron is a sh*t stain on college basketball full of east coast rich folks being rude while maintaining little to no knowledge of college basketball. At least UNC earned their status, and if NC State had not imploded we would have never heard from Dook.

Yeah, it's hard to downplay a game between the two previous national champions. Especially with both being in the mix to go to the Final Four this year, too.

It's too bad the Cats and Cards aren't in the same conference. Any win over Uavel is delicious but it'd mean all the more if it denied them a conference championship, too.

You're a Bama fan so you understand.

frick Indiana. And I mean that sincerely. As much as I don't like UofL, they haven't pulled near the shite IU has in this scheduling debacle. I'd much rather keep it in the state then deal with those assholes.

I totally agree. I hope UK never schedules IU again. I absolutely despise their fan base. I would never rank UofL's fans below IU's.
