quote:

Robinson has skyrocketed up the draft boards over the last two months and is a projected first or second-rounder. According to a source that has spoken to Robinson within the last month, Robinson is expected to turn pro. Mason is projected first, second or third-rounder, and if that holds true, this same source also expects Mason to turn pro. The source seemed more confident regarding Robinson's state of mind than Mason's, but both are expected to turn pro if the projections hold up.

Nothing unexpected to me. We'll be alright next year if they both choose the draft. Whatever is best for them.

Personally, I think they are both gone. Greg Robinson will be harder to replace, but we still have Shon Coleman and Pat Miller if needed. Cam Artis-Payne, Corey Grant, and Racean Thomas will carry the load pretty effectively, IMO. Peyton Barber is also in the stable and ready to roll.

I think Mason is gonna go.

He has not made up his mind yet, but it seems to make the most sense. Talked to someone who would know and mentioned how much I would like Mason to stay FWIW.

ETA: Just noticed the 30k thing Beaver. I'm not good at posting pics or gif or all that creative. Maybe I'll hold off on any more posts until I get home from work tonight and post something on the rant...

I wouldn't fault either for leaving, but, man, if Tre stayed and had even a year worse than 2012 and only got 1,048 yards between the bowl this year and all of next season, he would leave school next year with the second most career rushing yards in Auburn history.
If he had a year even close to this year, gaining 1,530 yards combined between the bowl this year and next season, he would leave ahead of the legend himself, Bo Jackson, as the all time rushing leader in Auburn history.
I know stuff like that probably never even crosses the minds of these players, but man, can you imagine???

If Tre stayed he could win the Heisman and hopefully be a part of Auburn's first repeat national championships.

BUT, the name Marcus Lattimore comes to mind. Your lifespan as a RB is short, way too short, so strike while the iron is hot. So War Eagle, thank you and I wish you well.

I hope they both stay, but I never have a problem with a guy chasing his dream. Both will be hard to replace. We have guys behind them who are very capable, IMO. I hope they go out NC's!
