No, I don't love 'communism'.

And I do believe all men are created equal.

The state of Arkansas is beautiful in some places but I'm not a fan or nor do I intend on supporting everything in the state. I could give two shits less about a state or how many kids each school has on the roster from arkansas.

I am an Arkansan with family roots in Arkansas from the 1850's. My great grandfather was a Sergeant in the 2nd Arkansas Infantry, Co. G.
Fought in the battle of Chickamauga among many others, along with 3 of his brothers. Only my great grandfather and 1 brother made it home.
So yes, I give plenty of shits about the state and how our home grown kids are doing.

You pretty well explained your sole connection to the state of Arkansas to me in your post.

I love when the conversation deteriorates into which family is more military.

Point was about why the LR venues do the wave. Not UofA/stAte, or wherever else this thread is destined to go.

I mean, I'm all for the wave when we're up by 30 and coasting to an easy win. But when the game is on the line, the LR venues seem to only be concerned with themselves, when we should be making as much noise as possible to try and will our team to win. But maybe that's just me.

The point is not 'how military my family is', merely that my roots in this lovely state go way back. That's why I am able to see beyond merely the college I graduated from and love everything Arkansas, including the Hendrix tiddly winks team, if they were competing against some team from out of state.

I have to say, I have been to 30 states and of all of them the folks in Arkansas are without a doubt the nicest, most pleasant folks there are. I'm talking Siloam Springs to Lake Village.

I have spent holidays with friends in Sheridan and NWA millionaires. Rather than compare the two, I look at the fact that both invited me into their home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, whatever. That says enough for me

I find it hard to believe that anyone in a state commonly associated with barefoot banjo picking rednecks is holier than thou. I think peoples frame of reference is off a bit when I hear things like that. This isnt Dallas

Maybe you don't see the wave as much in Fayetteville because it's more of a second half thing?

The GSD is a very old and tired subject.

Yes it is. I wouldn't be posting my responses if not provoked. And I am sure some of it is just trolling, poking with a stick.

I love Arkansas, from corner to corner. Just a few of the people whose attitude rubs me the wrong way.
