I remember that the '12 season was just gravy being a UA fan. Do y'all feel the same way coming off an 0-fer in the SEC last year?

None for me counselor. I am content with life this Christmas season. Looking forward to the game and pleased as hell with the way the season played out overall.

Good deal. Short of getting shut out in the championship game, I couldn't see any way to be upset as an AU fan.

okay so you feel this is just gravy for us?
then why'd you put the title you did?
ETA I think we will win but I don't care if we lose. As long as Gus stays we are set for a fun couple of years

I guess an Arky like streak stoppage would suck, but I guess not being the first SEC team to lose a BCS championship game would be a soothing salve.

Not as concerned as I thought I'd be. I think winning one just a few years ago makes more of a difference than how last season went.

LSU holds that honor. I feel confident we will win, but should we not I will be disappointed but not devastated at all.

Every AU fan I've spoken to has felt the same way.
One guy related it to a girlfriend having a negative pregnancy test. Just a sense of relief.

Not a chance. Not losing many and bringing in a great class. Should be contending again and ranked to finish first imo.

Excellent point re: LSU- although I very much want to continue the Streak. I believe we will be "loose" and play well (although we will have the full burden of expected success next season).

That's not an excellent point.
That was 2 SEC teams playing, one of em had to lose.
If Auburn loses to FSU that will be officially ending the streak.
The streak didn't end in 2011.

This is the way I feel too. Naturally, the goal is to win every game, but it kind of takes away from the fun of the whole thing if the same teams win over and over. FSU is just as deserving to win as we are, and I won't lose any sleep over not winning this game - or frankly any game.
I've just enjoyed watching the fun our guys are having this year and the pleasure they've given the fans - and not just our fans.
I have a couple of bammer family members who are moping their way through this holiday season because they are not #1. The last few years, they've wanted nonstop football discussion, but this year they hardly make an appearance and certainly won't talk football.
