Very Clowney-esque of him

Nothing about him is very Clowney-esque. Were either of these 5 Star DE UGA players ever a 1st Team All SEC, or an All American selection, like Clowney? Either of them set any records like 4.5 sacks in a game at a rivals stadium?

I agree. He owned up to the fact that he needed to work harder. He did not use little nagging injuries as excuses, throw staff under bus, so you are right. This kid is nothing like Clowney.

You're unbearable sometimes. He meant "Clowney-esque" in that he has been lazy. He wasn't comparing him to Clowney.

CIY...you missed my point. An article of Clowney early on stated Clowney was not putting in the work in practice and was allowed to (paraphrasing) mail it in. So Clowney didn't practice as hard as his teammated did and he relied on his undoubtedly gifted athleticism to carry him through and it eventually showed. It is the work ethic/attitue that it would be "given" to you I am referring to.
