MASH HERE

Surprised this had not been posted yet. This dissappoints me . Very Clowney-esque of him. Wonder how many others took the same approach, I'm sure he's not the only one. If he had those other sacks at the right time according to his goal, I wonder how different the season would have been. He better friggin step it up and the coaches should put a boot in his arse. I hope his dad gets the belt out!

This has been a prevalent attitude in Athens for many years, so not a big surprise

This isn't the first time we've gotten a sniff of there being less than 100% drive and effort coming from our defensive players. Shawn Williams calling out everyone last year comes to mind.

Nothing about him is very Clowney-esque. Were either of these 5 Star DE UGA players ever a 1st Team All SEC, or an All American selection, like Clowney? Either of them set any records like 4.5 sacks in a game at a rivals stadium?

Wonder if similar articles could be found for top 5 programs like Bama, OSU, Barn, LSU, etc...... I'm going out on a limb and say NO.

Think this speaks volumes about the coaching staff.

[quote]Looking back, Jenkins knows what went wrong.

“I wasn’t mature about the offseason last year,” he said Friday.

He elaborated. There were too many voluntary workouts about which he heard “voluntary” and took it to heart. He specially mentioned workouts with speed coach Sherman Armstrong. And just in general Jenkins didn’t work hard enough, and it showed on the field.

Well anybody who follows the team somewhat knows the players come into the season fat, slovenly and somewhat unprepared for what is yet to come.

But hey, they are college students and need freedom and frolic right that's what matters.

At least Jenkins is honest and can turn the critical eye on himself in evaluation. He is no "disney dawg."

Kudos.
