Highlights:

quote:

Here are some things that matter:

-- Despite losing to them, we’re still in a BCS bowl
against a better opponent.
-- Not a single game they played is listed on the top ten
games of the year.. We have two.
-- Their whole program is Spurrier. Nothing but Spurrier.
It was toilet water before him and will be toilet water
again when he leaves.
-- Their flash in the pan “success” does not, cannot, will
not ever equal our history of success and the level of
success we are currently experiencing. We’re growing.
They have plateaued.
-- Clemson is the ONLY 2 loss team who one of their losses
is against the #1 team in the country.
-- Clemson is the only 2 loss team whose two losses came
against two top 10 teams.

-- Try as they may, no one can erase 100 years of
dominance over your rival or over multiple nationally
ranked teams, with 5 years of success over ONE
opponent.?
-- Mizzou accomplished in 2 years what SC struggled for
decades to do in the conference. (has nothing to do
with Clemson, but thought it was worth mentioning.)

They are really struggling with the fact that its been half a decade since they've had a victory over USC

I've always said it'll take a decade to force them into the reality that the distant past doesn't matter ... but that's easier said than done.

1 - we're going to have to continue beating them regularly, not always, but at least 2:1 for a decade.
2 - we're going to have to do it with the next coach as well as the one we have now.
3 - we're going to have to work our way into a playoff bowl (with the understanding that it was far far easier to make a BCS bowl in the ACC), in the next few upcoming years to shut them up about the BCS crapola. (Question, have we not beaten them every year they've been to a BCS bowl?)
4 - we ourselves are going to have to face the reality that taterheads are never, not ever, going to admit we have surpassed them in the eyes of many, if not most, college football fans.
5 - we're going to have to beat them eight years in a row, which is more than the seven in a row they beat us in what, the 30s? (Spurrier can use this as a "first" every year because with each consecutive win it continues the streak and becomes another "first.")

If we can win the next two, then since both conference expansions we will be dead even at 12 each. Once we're at the modern break-even point, then it all starts over again and that's where we need to gain an advantage. It may seem minor or inconsequential but remember, when it comes to recruiting it's really about your last seven years - that's the general rule because that is when your success, or failure, as a program is ingrained into an adolescent's mind ... and then roughly ten years later that adolescent may become a recruitable prospect. So the seven year rule does apply when it comes to recruiting.

These next two years are huge for that reason. And back to the point - it'll begin to wear on the taterheads eventually, we just have to keep applying the pressure.

BTW, how did UGA end-up with the SC PotY this year? Two years ago that kid wasn't that good ... how did he suddenly become the next big UGA QB of the future?

I bet this guy has been through these thoughts 1000X in his head to try to make himself feel better about the 5th straight loss. Clearly, by compiling this list and putting it online it is not working.

and I'm banned from taternet, but I learned something. They don't have an auto way to stop people from joining who have banned before. However, one of my posts must have got flagged and it turns out that they banned me and told me it was b/c I was banned before. So that let's me know that they do check for IP's, but it's not automatically done, since I was able to get a few days of posting in.

This one is pretty telling. Especially:

quote:

Actually I hope he drops dead like Morrison did.

Sorry. The guy has no redeeming value and is an awful human being. Him croaking on the sideline would be funny.

oh noes guys! this guy figured us out!

quote:

..he just wants to make sure that all Tiger fans have him on their mind! I've posted this thought before, I'm sure, but bear with me. Spurrier is a master of psychological warfare and mental intimidation, and there is method to his madness. He really doesn't want or need to get into Dabo's, Chad's, Brent's, or the team's heads. All he wants to do is to get the entire Tiger fanbase to hate him with as much passion as possible. Then, for the next 11 months, they will place constant, unreasonable, and unbelievable mental pressure on the players and coaches to redeem Clemson's honor from this evil barbarian. This means that the Tiger's can't just simply beat him, now they have to stomp, humiliate, and annihilate him. Understand that Spurrier knows exactly what kind of passionate and emotional fans make up the majority of the Tiger faithful, and he also knows that a whole lot of those same fans were watching the game today, hoping and praying for a Badger blowout. Do you really think his little dig at Clemson just suddenly popped into his mind? Maybe some Tiger fans believe that it's just a very strange coincidence that Clemson seems to play awfully tight and nervous against his teams each year, but I'm certainly not one of them! Why even his postgame comment, back on November 30, was planting mental seeds of doubt to the Clemson faithful, "They just don't seem to play very well against us, do they?" Make no mistake, the Evil Genius knows exactly what he is saying, and from reading some of the responses to his dig on this board, I'd say that he has already fired a successful mental salvo for next season.
