Or don't recruit DB's that will steal from their own teammates!

For real. For Richt to be such a devote Christian with a general good guy image, we sure get our share of thugs.

No shite. That really did hurt our depth in the secondary and now we get to watch Auburn "compete" for an NC with a guy that should have been charged with Grand Larceny. The convict dynasty continues.

I wonder if those two things (Richt's beliefs and the quality of players we recruit) are tied together. If the kids are "troubled" with behavior issues, their parents might push them to UGA because they think CMR can help turn them around.

Meanwhile, thugs will be thugs, and while CMR might be able to change a few lives here and there, a lot of them don't want to change, and we suffer as a team.

On the other hand, if those same players go to other universities, much of their behavior may be covered up so that they don't miss playing time.

This is silly. We don't have any more thugs than any other college in America. The difference is a)we follow this program far more than we follow others and b)our administration is hellbent on punishing the slightest transgressions. Do you really think someone jaywalking, or not paying a speeding ticket, or driving the wrong way down a 1 way street, or driving a scooter without a proper license would make state newspapers and result in suspensions at other SEC schools?

Of course they don't. That doesn't mean those things don't happen, it's just nobody at those schools GAS about it because it's so petty and insignificant. At the very least, relating to your original thought, we punish the thugs we do have. At other schools they can kick people in the face outside of bars or fail 5 drug tests or get kicked out of other schools and be welcomed with open arms.
