I heard Quay didn't play in the Egg Bowl because he volunteered at the soup kitchen. He was quoted saying "Feeding the homeless and less fortunate for a few hours is more important than a silly football career."

Speaking of, I found out last year that one of our other DTs, Curtis Virges, is actually a ChemE. I had P. Chem with him

The ChemEs here are a pretty odd group for the most part.

Nick has been having a hell of a bowl camp actually. Supposedly he has cut a few pounds and is like a different player, lets hope he finally got it together.
Quay, according to the coaches, has not earned the right to practice. Also heard that he is basically here or gone in spring depending on whether or not he has a come to jesus moment.

Had a friend from Morton tell me that Quay would never make it during his junior year when he committed to Ole Miss. He was very surprised Quay even qualified.

I don't think grades have been the problem for Quay.

Grades has never been a problem with Quay. Kid is actually smart. He graduated early because of his grades. The problem is the common sense part.
