I'm glad he ended apartheid but that doesn't mean I have to admire someone who helped kill civilians.

I'm saying he never really put down he manual he wrote about how to be a good communist.

he still wanted state coercion in control of industry after getting out of prison.

And I'm saying that is irrelevant to my point. His politics aside, he deserves a ton of credit for the end of the apartheid era coming about as peacefully as it did. His willingness to not seek judgment or vengeance against those who persecuted him once he gained power is worth our praise.

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

Kinda on topic, if anyone is bored read the comments after this article. Don't worry about the article it's pretty dumb, just the comments. White Souh Africans vs black South Africans.

I wish I could forgive Nelson Mandela for being a violent communist
with shipped in arms and munitions for Oklahoma City and Boston Marathon style bombings.

I wish I could forgive him for nationalizing many industries in S.A. He even tried to hide
the fact that he essentially ran a terrorist army.

I wish I could forgive him for marrying a woman who willingly
murdered teenagers by coating them in barbed wire and placing
a burning tire filled with gasoline around their neck, called 'necklacing'.

Where did you find this information? The impeach the black leaders' website? Dude, if you lived in the 1800's, and this board existed then, you would say the same things about Lincoln

Alright just because the steryotype of Mississippi is believed to be that everyone is a racist is not true. One of my best friends is black, I have a lot of Asian coworkers and my other best friend is a Jew. I'm pretty sure there are racists in Texas too
