My son (who graduates Saturday) was on Army ROTC scholarship could have gone to any goddam public university in the South he wanted to go to.
He didn't even apply to UGA.

It was a shite show, but it was never really that close. It is embarrassing enough to get a review, but no school of Auburn's size is going to lose accreditation. You simply do what Auburn did, which is to make the changes necessary and pay people to fix your problems.
The only schools that area really accreditation risks: 1) For profits 2) Horribly incompetent and fraudulent orgs (city colleges, or outside of higher ed, Clayton County).
I can see faith-based schools having trouble, but they usually get different accrediting bodies.

So they didnt...got it.
For a state-funded school, to actually lose accreditation is similar to the death penalty for a football program. It ties up all sorts of funds and makes for incredible administrative headaches for years to come. Knowing this, the committee tries to warn schools of their problems in enough time for them to sort them out. Honestly, Auburn's case was about as close as I have ever heard of for a big school.

Except UGA hasn't been close to losing its accreditation in the past decade.
Considering that the Georgia regents/trustees are equally as crooked and retarded as AU's (which is why SACS sorry political arse put AU on probation), you keep whistling past that particular graveyard, brah.

Luckily my undergraduate and master's degrees are from elsewhere. My professional degree which is from UGA is protected by a state license.

Sucks cause it's true.
IT is. No full field indoor facility. No boot for MR and a big fat check for Chad Morris or anyone else.

Eh idk, I feel like those guys are hell bent on maintaing the good that HOPE has brought to Georgia in order to continue to make the world think they actually did something.
Kind of like how Adams thinks he actually did something.

So what degrees are offered from auburn that would make someone turn down the HOPE and free tuition at Georgia?

Any degree that UGA does not offer to start.
