They don't take rejection very well. Wish they allowed people to cancel their account online. I see now why they're able to hold onto customers.
Just got through canceling because I don't ever watch it and Uverse became available in my neighborhood. Heard good things about it. May get it at some point.

What was the best deal they offered for you to stay?

Why did you get it in the 1st place?

Just wait until they start calling, to get you back.

Every year, just at Christmas, I cancel (threaten to cancel) Directv. Every year I get 3-6 months of free HBO/Max.
One year when they didn't offer and I did cancel they called daily with outrageous freebies and deals until I reactivated.

I had no problems when I canceled. Were you up front about what you wanted?

We threaten to cancel every year and they always give us 50% off for 12 months. When our bill goes back up to $99 we call to cancel and they always cut our bill in half for the next year, done it 3 times now.
Trying to cancel Cox internet though, don't even get me started.
