Auburn is not a good football team. They can expect a letdown similar to UF's next year, loss to Samford and all. Hell, they're probably gonna get exposed against a downright mediocre Mizzoul team

I agree with the OP. Vandy will not place well in the WEST.

Auburn is good and will return most everyone. But it's not always that simple. They've had a certain magic this year that will be impossible to replicate - they can't consistently win games they should lose like against Georgia and Alabama.

First year coaches and players also have an advantage in the SEC that often gets nullified in the second year. Look at Sumlin and Manziel from year one to two. There will be more of a target on Auburn's back next year - they'll go from the hunter to the hunted, the overlooked (after Alabama and LSU) to the team everyone will be preparing for in the offseason.

In short, there's more to being successful than returning a lot of players. There have been a lot of teams in recent memory that have returned nearly their entire roster and either regressed or totally dropped off the map.
