Some people are wired differently; some aren't.
I, for one, don't get nearly as amped over pro sports (since my Oilers were murdered) as I do their collegiate counterparts.
And I'm certainly not of southeastern ilk.
That's just it: Everyone's different.
What makes the rivalry great to those in the state of Alabama likely doesn't have the same effect in Wisconsin.

Question: Do you pull for the Texans now?

Just wondering. Mrs. T is from Houston and likes the Texans (as much as she likes any sports team ), but she wasn't really old enough to appreciate the Oilers back in the day.

Which goes back to my point. The Southeast is traditionally a college sports region. Hell, for years everyone in this part of the country cheered for the Braves because that was the only MLB team. Pretty much still is. And only 2 states had NFL teams.
