What are the likely bowls, and who are likely opponents? Obviously conference games and championship games are still left, so feel free to speculate.

Below is a list of SEC bowl tie-ins along with who I see as a likely pick. I thought in the Big 12 that we were routinely picked ahead of other schools that didn't travel as well but were more deserving of the bowl. In the SEC, most schools travel well, so I don't see this happening as often. I am cool with that. I'd have rather possibly won the Insight Bowl all those years ago instead of getting pasted by Cal in the Holiday Bowl.
#1 Bowl Championship Series. Automatic berth to a BCS bowl game, preferentially the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Alabama and Mizzou/Auburn make the BCS
#2 The Capital One Bowl versus Big Ten #2.
USCe
#3 The Cotton Bowl Classic versus Big 12 #2.
Auburn or LSU
#4 The Outback Bowl versus Big Ten #3.
Mizzou or LSU
#5 The Chick-fil-A Bowl (will *always* be Peach to me) versus ACC #2.
Possibly earned by A&M, but I think they take Georgia
#6 The Gator Bowl versus Big Ten #5
A&M
#7 The Music City Bowl versus ACC #6.

#8 The Liberty Bowl versus Conference USA #1.
#9 The BBVA Compass Bowl versus AAC #5.

Playing Iowa or Nebraska would be ideal IMO. Lots of slow white farm boys that will make our defense seem more athletic than it is

I've seen the chicken bowl with Duke thrown around with you guys quite a bit. That seems likely.

I don't see how we wind up in the Peach Bowl unless they pass on Georgia... a one hour drive from ATL.

I think we get Chick Fil A over UGA. Murray is done and JFF is ratings gold. Plus its a new venue for Aggies to travel to. We've never had issues filling a stadium.

I want Duke or Miami. Not really wanting to see how poorly our D does against Clemson.

Crushing Miami in the bowl would actually make me feel quite a bit better about this season. I just really don't like them.

I still think that anyone who thinks that the Peach Bowl would pass on #22 Georgia for #24 A&M is on crack. Both teams have had disappointing seasons. From the bowl's perspective, I don't see either fan base thrilled to be in my bowl. Georgia is the safe pick.
