8-4 with JFF & Mike Evans playing backyard football? At this point I'd say he's the most overrated coach in the country. But he still might be great. Just think his stock is way higher than it rightfully should be.
I agree.
Offensive guy that was straight out coached several times by SEC DC's in the last two years with the best QB, great OL, and one of the best WR's in the game.
His lack of attention to defense at all his stops as coach has to be frightening for A&M fans as well.

I think different people have been saying these things.
Also, I think A&M is fricked because they're losing Johnny and Jake while they currently have the worst defense imaginable. That's why I'm surprised Sumlin took this. He is as popular as he'll ever be and big boys in with big media behind them like USC and Texas aren't always looking for coaches.
A&M loses a lot of games next year.

I agree with this.
Add in he's losing Johnny and Jake, it could get ugly.
But you're right, he is recruiting and the program has tons of momentum. We'll see I guess.

Well with one of the best QBs to ever play college football, 2 first round picks at OT, Swope and Evans, they have competed in the SEC.
I'm not saying they won't compete, but I just feel A&M will have major issues going forward without those guys carrying a shitastic defense on their backs.

That is a gamble....personally I'm not sure his stock is going to get any higher than it is now. IMO he should have gone to the NFL in any capacity right now if his aspirations are truly to one day run an NFL team. He certainly doesn't have the players on his team now to replace Manziel and Evan's production....obviously I don't follow aTm recruiting so they may be on the way.
IDK if he is as good as ya'll think he is I'll be wrong.
