We were predicted by many media outlets to finish above Kentucky this year, and to me that's a much bigger story than a team who needed a last second miracle to survive the same Georgia team everyone told us was crippled and overrated

I almost died in that one. If there ever is another one, I hope I am no where close to it.

MS2, doing what he does, getting the masses riled up.

For an actual, veteran Mizzou fan perspective, here goes: This year's Iron Bowl will be an exciting matchup between two excellent teams. Since it is a play-in game for the SEC title game and a rivalry game, it is the no-brainer logical pick for the CBS game. Should Mizzou still be in the mix to make it to Atlanta at that point, we will have a blast watching the Iron Bowl wondering if we will be seeing one of those teams soon. However it's anything but a foregone conclusion that Mizzou will be playing in the SEC title game, so we are just enjoying the ride until then.

We now return to your regularly scheduled MS2 thread.

I don't get why Missouri wants some more of what they got last year.

It's not my fault that the University of Missouri has failed you in even the most basic concepts of the English language. Make your posts more clear and people wont have to question what the hell you're trying to convey.

You're talking about the most delusional poster on the entire board. He doesn't understand that these games are very possible losses for his team.

There are actually logical arguments you can make against getting to the SEC title game if we are going to lose, and in particular if we get stomped cuz its just asking for another loss. However it would be fairly historic for Mizzou to go to Atlanta for the first time and would be good for our branding and recruiting in the South. Because of what Bama is right now, there's not much for Mizzou to lose: if we get smoked, the whole country will shrug and go "well, yeah, Bama's really good, they do that." If Mizzou is even remotely competitive, it probably just adds more street cred for us. If we win, the heavens fall and college football world is turned on its head. So there's your answer as to why we'd want to go there.

It should be noted too that last year Bama got to face a third string Mizzou QB who has not seen the field this year and an injury riddled Mizzou o-line and a backfield with this year's starter out for the season. I'm not one for making the injury excuse, but seeing as Georgia and Florida have been whining about injuries all year long, apparently its a fair point to bring up.

The Road to Atlanta runs through The Zou and CBS picks the wrong game again. Mizzou will return home after this weekend 10-1 and basically be playing for a spot in the SEC title game. Why wouldn't CBS have that game in prime time is beyond me, but screw CBS we will take Gameday instead. It's a forgone conclusion that Alabama and Mizzou will be playing in the SEC title game.

This is the truth.
