I agree to a certain extent. I take my kids to the game all the time. They hear it. But at times, people need to control themselves.

I get restraint but I swear I've said what the hell in games and had some old sack of shite try to tell me that there are kids and women around and I just respond with "Good, this is a great indoctrination into the world we live in"
These are usually the same pricks who disagree with me saying anything negative about Georgia and then leave mid 3rd quarter. Honestly this open letter sounds like the old georgia frick who sat next to me. Cursing like a sailor but got mad at me for shite talking grantham and then his old arse and his fat daughter left in the 3rd and missed the comeback. if I had a nickel for every time i had a "Georgia fan" explain to me how to be a real fan and then I watch them leave the game a qtr n a half early I'd be a wealthy douchebag.

This. It's almost like some people feel the need to use the f-bomb every other word. It's just good manners/home training not to cuss in front of children and old people.

Depends on how you were raised, IYAM. If you want to give power to words that's your prerogative. This is the world we live in and it isn't going to change because you want a PG rating for football games.

I'm not talking about the occasional "What the frick!!", hell I have to catch myself on that one. I'm talking about the nonstop, usually drunk arse ranting. As to wanting a "PG" rating for football games, it's not that, just common courtesy and situational awareness by people that maybe saying frick every other word with kids around isn't cool.

It's not giving the words "power" but having to explain to your 6 year old that "frick that a-hole" is not appropriate language for 1st grade, even if the guy behind him at the game said it.

All fair points, I prefer the happy medium between the two with both sides extremes being wrong but I get the issues it can cause. I still think that an SEC football game isn't where ya take your kids if ya wanna protect them from that.
Again, I think part of my issue was being raised by a bunch of cursing drunks

Here ya'go.
If you are in or near the student section be it noted that foul language and vulgar cheers may broach your middle ear.
If you are in the old folks section mind your fricking manners and stand up when ladies need to get by don't move your legs a little and frown like a spoiled bitch.
Good day Sir!

Ha, I was too (my dad spent 28 years in the Navy) but they only did it at home
