I know at Alabama you don't have to be a student but a student has to upgrade their ticket (costs like $80) for someone else to get in. So you would have to get a ticket from another student and upgrade it if an Alabama student wanted to have a friend from a visiting school sit with them. (correct if I'm wrong Bammers, it was a couple years ago when I did this)

USC is very strict about non-students. It makes sense because having students from other schools in the school's student section could, and has, caused problems but if you have to pay for the ticket, most people will be more conscience of behaving properly.

What is your school's student section policy?

Auburn students can sell to whoever they want but there's not many non-students in the student section.

If you're a Bama, UGA, or LSU fan in our student section, you most likely will have beer thrown on you.

auburn gives zero fricks what happens to student tickets after purchased, but that may change next season; theyre debating requiring a student ID to accompany a ticket

At A&M, you have to upgrade your ticket for like $50 , but that has been unavailable for some huge games.

It's not that much... I believe you just have to pay the difference in the cost of the student ticket vs. the cost of a regular ticket - which will vary depending on the game.

This is how USC does it and its very disappointing because I can't go to games with friends from other schools and what not. You'd have to find someone that kind of looks like your friend to let them borrow their ID.

When I was down there in '05 for the Iron Bowl, the tickets were electronic... students scanned their ID cards to get into the games. So I bought someone's ID card who looked nothing like me... and no one even looked at the picture.

I should have stayed home though... That was the Honk If You Sacked Brodie game.

Afterwards, some old drunk dude paid me $40 for my Bama hat, because - and I quote - "I'm gonna shite IN IT."

At OM, just buy any ticket and walk around to the student section. I'm not sitting in anything other than the SS until either A) I have kids or B)I go with my mom's boss and sit in the box.

Your student ID is your ticket.

They just don't check the picture. I got in as a black chick about 5 years ago. I'm a white dude.

That makes more sense. Maybe my friend was just trying to screw me because I paid $85

UT's policy is fairly new, but I believe it is:

Student tickets are $10 (with a student ID).

Students can buy non-students tickets in the student section for face value ($40 or so) if available.

Yeah that's not possible at USC. The SS is physically blocked off on one side and completely disconnected from the other part of the stadium on the other.

No it is that much. I have seen the upgrade cost get up around $100.

You are also penalized if you upgrade and sell your ticket, which effects bowl game tickets and next seasons tickets.

Ok if you want to get technical.

What would carrying your tiger card with your ignited card do? Why not just start checking the picture on the ignited card?

UT has also been giving student tickets to the students of surrounding community colleges at the same ten dollar rate.
