Yeah, in hindsight they may have still overdrafted him. He is GREAT against the run, according to PFF he's one of the best 34 OLBs against it, but he isn't much in the way of a pass rusher.

I've seen several LSU fans claim that he would have been. Many were claiming that he wasted his talent by going to Bama and not being a starting safety from day one. Even saw some this past summer on LC's twitter claiming he would never make the nfl because he was only a special teams player and a total bust at that.

Who? We didn't have a LB we expected as a 1st rder go in the 2nd other than Upshaw and he was only because Ozzie Newsome is a draft genius and traded down when he realized CU wasn't gonna get picked

Um, Vinnie Sunseri knew the defense better than LC. That matters a LOT in Saban's secondary. It is why I'm gonna laugh if Marlon comes here and plays next year, people will call him a bust, but really it's just the system, RARELY does a first year player look as good as they should in it.
But LC wouldn't have started over Loston?
