Just got a text from someone who claims, and he's usually a solid fan, that Kenny Miles has been shot and is in critical condition in the hospital.
Anyone else heard anything about this by chance?

Someone tried to rob the business that Kenny was at over in a Business Park in Irmo (Technically Columbia), near Lake Murray Blvd.
They robbed the place and then shot Kenny in the upper body.

Radio just reported that the robber tried taking Kenny's ring and his cash and Kenny fought back ... now being reported in stable condition, no longer life threatening.

Holy crap. There has been a rash of crime throughout downtown, but I'm honestly surprised it's stretched all the way out to Lake Murray Blvd.
Godspeed, Kenny. One of the best teammate Gamecocks we have ever had. Guy had every opportunity to transfer out last year and start straight away, but came back for No. 4.

That's the big, "WTF" here in my opinion. Also, the 2 businesses at the 121 Block where he was at were Delta Pharmaceuticals and SafeGuard Business Systems.

Have there been any updates past about 6 eastern? Last I heard, Miles' car (or a car that was thought to have been Miles') was towed to examine it for evidence. WTF is that about?

They had the car taped off as a crime scene, and there was a shot fired. So there are several reasons they would want to tow it away to get a look at it.
There may be a bullet in it that they want to find and match it to a gun. There may be other evidence, like the suspect touched the car and they are looking for prints. The owner of the property may have just requested that the car be moved and not left there overnight.
There's no ne info in the past 2 hours. Kenny is alive and recovering, so that's really good.

I didn't mean or intend to insinuate that Miles was implicated in the crime. Just curious as to why his vehicle would have been towed. Thanks for clearing that up.
