Has an SEC rivalry ever been involved in a homocide?

Seems to happen at least once a year overseas, usually Europe and South America. bitter loss = hooliganism and stabbings.
So far, the worst I've seen of American southern rivalries is the chipping of a rock and the poisoning of some tree. We're super hardcore stateside!
ETA: Somehow I knew either an Alabama school or LSU would be involved.

I'd say the UA-LSU teabagging incident was a homo-cide.

It isn't a cocktail party if someone doesn't die.
Although I don't know if any have been straight up homicide

Not an SEC rivalry but a few years back a drunken SC fan shot a drunken Clemson fan for not paying up his the end of a bet after an SC W.
These guys were friends.

Not a rivalry, but an Alabama fan was found guilty of causing the death of a South Carolina fan after the game a few years ago.

Just with gumps.
Attempted homicides with father-son, gump on gump when bama loses as well if we are counting those.

odd considering how college football prides itself on having more passion than the pros

I remember that an Alabama fan almost murdered his son after losing to Arkansas in overtime. Put a loaded gun to his head for asking to borrow the car, and the kid ran, avoided the shot, and went to the cops.

I'm sure there has been deaths and great destruction after Iron Bowls.
Only the Lord knows how many noses have been broken and blood spilled over the UA-AU game.
It's a lot...

I'm more surprised that it hasn't happened yet with Bama/Auburn.

Baylor killed a cadet in the 20s. We would have leveled Waco to the ground if the rangers didn't stop it
