... The dynasty that Alabama is today? I think this is a fair question because I think Alabama is the only thing that has stood between LSU and greatness.

Florida would be the dynasty with Meyer still at the helm.

LSU is the only thing stopping LSU. We keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

It's hard to say. There are a few players i think we would have gotten out of alabama like trent richardson so it's possible.

Definitely would have won in 2011. Maybe maybe maybe one other. Impossible to know for sure.

No way. They would have one more championship at the most. Let me do a year by year breakdown for you.

2008- Lost five games
2009- Lost four games
2010- Lost two games in a season that they beat Bama, two undefeated teams played for a national title that year including an Auburn team that beat them earlier in the season
2011- Most likely would have won a national championship
2012- Lost three games
2013- Already has two losses and they haven't even played Bama yet

2011 is the ONLY year that they would have had a shot at winning the title. In every other year, they lost at least two games to teams not named Bama. There's no possible scenario in which LSU would have won two or three more titles even without Saban and Bama in their way.

Bama definitely kept us from beating Ole Miss last week and 2 or 3 other times we have lost to them, and then you add in Arkansas, 14-6 Florida game, OT game with Tenn on MNF, 7-3 Auburn game

The list is Miles long

Then there was the Troy game...........and then you ask which one

Doubtful. 2011 is the only certain one. They won 2007, so that's a moot point. 2008 had 5 losses (4 minus Bama), 2009 had 4 (3 minus Bama.) They didn't even lose to Bama in 2010 (and Arkansas would have won the West that year, actually, assuming they also beat Bama.) And last year...I actually don't know. Had they played ND, they would have won, but Oregon might have been ahead of them even with the late loss.

So they could be two-time defending national champions this year. But they'd already be all but out of the race to win it again, given they have 2 losses and haven't even played Bama yet. At least they'd have a better defense with Landon Collins playing for them.

All this generously assumes they'd beat Bama no matter what. Saban is hardly the only coach capable of beating LSU, so that's a huge assumption.

Nick Saban is not a Christian. Did you even know that?

Meyer wouldn't have ran off like a woos. Les had to play him every year also. The 2011 NC was probably the only thing we loss. 2005-2007 we got one CC and NC Saban's first year in. 2008-2010 LSU had issues that had nothing to do with UA.

probably not

other than 2011 LSU's primary problem has not been Alabama. Losing other games against teams like Florida and even Arkansas or Ole Miss has been the issue.

Obviously everything changes everything. Meyer would probably have stayed at Florida longer (assuming he did a better job of running the asylum without Saban to compete against than he did with Saban in the opposite division).

You fo realize that even with Saban at UA, LSU is a mulligan game and 1:30 from being it. And Bama is that close to not having won the SEC West in 4 years.
