Don't know if this is common knowledge, but the "parking czar" has resigned.

By parking czar, I mean the dude they brought in from I think Utah to coordinate all of our parking changes this year. I work part time on campus, and my boss has meetings with him regularly. He told me that he resigned today because he had been getting a bunch of death threats and couldn't handle it anymore.
Doubt this means any major changes will be made, just though y'all would like to know.

Parking sucks and it always will until we get these parking garages done. Staff paying for parking is just retarded though.

I want to see his replacement before celebrating. That said:

While the parking has not really effected me I can understand people being mad. But what kind of idiot will give somebody death threats over parking? I mean if he missed a tackle or called you a jive-turkey or something else truly important then yea but parking?

I gave Ole Miss roughly $1000 over the course of a year in parking tickets. No idea how many boots I acquired in 2010. I parked in the faculty parking at VHS every day because I was not hiking 3.5 miles to class just because I didn't get there 3 hours early.

I have had one parking ticket in my 4 years. I guess I'm either to poor to pay them or not too lazy to walk. To me it is worth it just to walk.
But I doubt parking 8-5 on weekdays is what he is resigning for

They act like they didn't expect a problem when they give out 3x the parking decals for the spots available. Someone isnt going to have a spot.
Gameday parking on the other hand is a joke. Why not charge 5 dollars to park on campus or give all season ticket holders, students included, parking passes and shuttle everyone else.

At work so I can't watch but I'll check later. Usually wore aviator-style shades and walked like there was a giant dildo up his arse at all times.

Pulled it up on my phone and that is indeed the frick I was referring to. Glad to see he's wearing pants now at least.
I could understand if I was using a handicap spot, but out of the 40 Faculty Parking spots they had set up at the time, maybe 7-8 were taken every day.
