Lsu is still in the top half of total defense in the sec. Far from what the A&M defense is.

Nope. Aggies swore this year's defense was more talented.

That's what most are trying to say. All offseason certain LSU sunshine pumpers (in this thread, actually) told us otherwise.

Congrats on winning your Super Bowl. I'm happy ole miss finally won the west title.

I think you're missing the point. This season should be proof that some of you guys need to temper your preseason expectations from time to time, especially when you lose so much to the draft. If you guys wouldn't have thumped your chest so hard and so often before the season even started, the backlash from this game would have been much, much less.

One can hope that LSU can become a rational fanbase, right?

Spot on. Losing to UGA I could deal with. Although after that game it was clear this wasn't the same D that we were accustomed too.

But this past weekend the D was exposed. They are clearly not close to what we have come to expect.

I kind of call bullshite on the guys leaving argument too because it's not like we don't have sick talent constantly rolling in. Although they are young as hell.

Like I said earlier, didn't expect them to be elite, but also didn't expect what we have going right now to be so average as well.

Our O is going to have to click on all cylinders for just about every possession in Tuscaloosa. They better have a lot of attitude.

3 long weeks.

Rationalize it any way you wish, but you lost to a team decimated by injuries with your "best offense ever."

Slow your roll, champ.

They have unrealistic expectations every year.

el oh el, must have forgotten certain names like Rohan Davey, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Flynn. Just because we have a decent QB doesn't make it our "best offense ever."

As if every fan base doesn't have fans that think they'll win the sec every year. You're on an lsu site so of course you're gonna see homer lsu posters. Every rational lsu fan I know said we would take a step back this year and said that 2014 would be the year we make a run.

It's lonely at the top ask Bama, LSU, or UGA.

To fester and think about it.

Hopefully Jennings gets a lot of work this weekend so we can talk about him, although knowing Les, he won't

I could go back a week or two and find many threads to refute this, but it's nearly 2am and I'm tired. You know as well as I do that before this week, there were multiple threads a week claiming such a thing.

I don't know if it is Les or Cam hasn't simply given the green light on Jennings running the normal O. But hell, it's Furman, if he messes up...let him mess up.

Has he gotten any meaningful playtime outside of some QB sneaks in short yardage situations?

Starting from opening game LSU's record for consecutive 400+ yard games was 3. This year we got to 6. The UF game we attributed to UF's D. But with Missouri scoring 36 with a 2nd string QB, coupled with a horrible game by Zach, it's not going to be an all time great but it is much much better than what was seen in OM game.

Maybe by a select few that haven't been "fans" for too long. If you started watching LSU football post 2007 yea I could see someone saying it was our "best offense ever."

No. Ole Les likes to him practice the QB sneak though. Make sure he gets his head down and holds on to the ball and everything you know....
