It's what they should do. Players don't usually throw their coaches under the bus.

Yea, I'd rather the team defend the coaches, as inept as they may be, than lash out. If they start throwing people under the bus then the program is lost and we have a bevy of issues to deal with. I only get irked when the players start feeling sorry for themselves or call out fans. And even then it usually meets with an awesome rebuttal from a fan. Ohhhhh Cornelius....

This is good to hear because we certainly don't need dissension within our ranks. However, if talented players are out of position often then something is missing: either talent or coaching that guides them into the best opportunity to succeed. One thing for sure, other defenses like Missouri for instance, are doing more with less.

What I read here is that the players are not doing their job. So the players need to go. Or they don't respect the coach enough to do what he tells them to do. And in that case they still need to go.

Surprising they don't do what LSU did and have a team vote as to if Grantham stays or not.

Or maybe CTG just isn't a good teacher and is doing a poor job at instructing the players on what he wants them to do.

I don't think Missouri has less on defense.
Georgia's got a great offensive line this year and there was nobody that was on it who could block Missouri's defensive end.
I bet Missouri had a lot more experience on defense than Georgia's does.

This isnt Grambling. The players dont decide the fate of the staff. That is on CMR whether CTG stays is on him.

This is what I was talking about in my "Commit to the G" thread. We need to tighten up and close ranks. Too many of us are running around with our head cut off.

This my take. I made a comment about him yelling all the time and I think some misinterpreted what I was trying to say. I like intensity from coaches but if all you do is yell all the time you start losing kids quickly.

A noteable trademark of Grantham's defenses. Nothing quite emulates our defensive plight more than watching the defense freak the frick out for the 4 secs pre-snap whether they are screaming at a dude in the wrong position, freaking out at a motion, knowing whether or not they're subbing in or out, or a general malaise on their face that screams "I just have no fricking idea..."
Every time the opposing offense is about to snap the ball the defense looks like French and British Troops at Dunkirk trying to figure out what the hell they're gonna do.
Ok, I feel like I can use a better battle than that

Pearl Harbor.....because we were sleeping in on a Sunday morning and our Secondary gets bombed like the USS Arizona?

Nah, Pearl Harbor doesn't have enough parallels outside of the destruction. Dunkirk implies poor leadership that led to an enormous clusterfrick of British and French troops trying to get the hell out of France after they got their shite pushed in by Germany.
I was gonna use dunkirk or the union forces at first manassas that due to poor leadership and coordination were routed and led to "the great skiddadle back to DC"

Our presnap defense looks like the Yankees on the ferry when Josey Whales shoots the rope into on the Missouri boat ride.

Bah! Any good coach can take moderately talented players and get them to boost their performance. It takes real genius to take professional-caliber talent and get it to perform at a modest JUCO level. That's something that only a few active coaches can pull off!

Kasserine Pass. Inexperienced troops, led by crummy commanders, picked apart by an organized enemy, and the only bright spots were a few individuals who tried to hold the line while everything collapsed around them.
