Why did they build a massive endzone upper deck and leave high school bleachers in the other endzone? The gaps in the stadium make it horrible to watch on tv. The first half shade on half the field made it hard to see what was going on. The second half had a really awful sun glare.

I hope the stadium expansion cleans this up. I don't know if the sun going down later in Texas than other parts of the Central Time zone makes it worse.

It is getting demolished this year and rebuilt with $450 million in renovations. What the hell is the point of this thread?

It's not just a stadium expansion. It's a complete and total overhaul of Kyle Field.

Since 1927, Kyle Field has expanded by building on top of what was already there.

It is better than Sanford. The sun is in the players eyes much of the time in that stupid place.

Because there wasn't a need at the time for 20k additional seats?

At one time those were temporary, then they decided to make them permanent, I think there are 400 seats in those.

their stadium's endzones face east and west. I know Auburn and Bama's are more north and south.

We have less than a year to shite on it. Don't want that to go to waste.

Have fun spending half a billion dollars renovation it. If y'all were smart y'all could have designed the place better and renovated it for about $100 million.

I have a feeling we will all be envious by what is coming. Ags any initial design concepts to look at?

Aggie has east and west endzones too? I know UGA does. That is about as dumb as it gets.

Yeah, I don't think you realize how old portions of that stadium are. The remaining first decks on the east and west side need to be completely torn down and while they are at it they are going to go ahead and yank out the entire west side and replace it and then put in a new south end zone. I just don't see how you do all that for $100 million but we're all ears.

The "tacklebox" design is very distinctive, indeed
