Also heads up traveling east for only 7 days. You lose a good day and a half to travel.

Right. Yuppie spends less than 24 hours in Ireland.....and recommends going there because driving on left side of road is fun.

Got it.

Rents car in Ireland....drives to pub on left side of road.......and says everything is "green as shite".....

Weeeeeee!.....

Sorry. But, this sounds like some yuppie geek who wants to drop how he visited Ireland rather than a legitimate recommendation for someone.

Or would you book airline tickets to Ireland based on that?

Just being honest here.

Ireland was brought up in a previous post and I shared my experience. I take it I've renewed my lease inside your head? I swear I couldn't post a single thing on this Georgia board without you hanging off my nuts.

Belle, Sorry for hijacking your thread.

Send us a postcard from Ireland and let us know if its really as " green as shite" as the well-travelled and cultured yuppies say it is.....

Not true. Epic snowboarding. First time I took the gondola to the top of the hill was a religious experience. If you like winter sports Jackson Hole is great. Much better snow than Colorado. Neat little village. I'm too old to party with the kids but seems to have a great bar scene.

If you havent been to Europe, I would recommend Paris and Rome. That was one of our favorite trips ever. We stayed in nice places (4* hotels) and spent 9 total days including travel and a rest day when we got back. It was unbelievable for the 2 of us. We have been around Europe and you really cant go wrong, but that was a special trip together. Something for everyone in both cities.

Bali's pretty nice, and $10K would go a long way there. Belize is pretty good, too.

It's not like no one had ever heard of Ireland prior to this thread.

Here's how most conversations like this go:

Friend 1: "Hey man I'm thinking about taking a trip. Would you recommend something, I need ideas."

Friend 2: "Yea, I went to Ireland a few summers ago and it was awesome. You'd have a lot of fun"

Friend 1: "Thanks man I'll consider it"

This is no different than a conversation like that. In that scenario would you try and talk down to someone for being a "yuppie" because they thought Europe was cool? I'd hope not. Keep up the charade, Jeff.
