What about scoring defense? I mean that does have more bearing on a game than yards right?

And 1st in tackles for loss and 3rd in scoring defense. Yeah, they give up yards, but that doesn't concern me.

Total yards is a little high because we have been playing fast paced offenses thus number of plays is unusually high.
Secondary and defensive line are legit. Really, mlb is the only gaping hole in the defense. Other positions are solid to good.
