Does Bama "just" have to win to get the championship game?

Let's kind play this thing out, with a series of "what if's".

Bama's number 1. Most folks in the media seem to think they are the best team, although most folks in the media seem to think they are not "last year's" Bama.

Let's say LSU beats aTm in a manner similar to Bama, but loses to Bama in a really close one. Let's say Bama beats Ga in another really close one.

Let's say a Oregon or Stanford, Ohio State, and Florida State or Clemson are undefeated.

Does an undefeated Bama get left out in favor of two of those that win out named above?

Let's say Bama "just wins". Will they get in over:

Ohio State - without a doubt.
Stanford - yes.
Florida State - yes.

The only two that would concern me are Oregon, because they wow everyone with the scores, and Clemson, who would have a comparable number of elite wins AND a Heisman candidate.

Voters would pit Bama vs. Oregon cause they think Oregon can beat Bama and stop the SEC streak.

Is this a serious question?

Let me ask you a couple of questions:
1) Who is number 1 right now?
2) which win would make Bama drop 2 spots?

You forgot the great equalizer in BCS rankings. The "Bama" test.

Or maybe it was the eyeball test....something like that

To answer the indirect question, Yes Bama would be in.. Yes LSU will be picked over if they go undefeated with Ohio State and Oregon..

Kinda thinking a little similarly, especially with Clemson. The media love for Clemson is strong, and if y'all wind up having "close" wins, a buzz could get going about y'alls (lack of) schedule.

If I were y'all, I'd for sure be worried about style points in the Tennessee game. I could see the "common opponent" talk in December going against y'all if you don't drill Rocky Top.

Never. Voters love Alabama. Hell they gave Alabama the first and only rematch in BCS history.

If I was a LSU poster, I'd be embarrassed that this fricking fool was a fan.

so you think clemsons win over Georgia, would trump our win over Texas AM, Lsu and Georgia... Good logic...
