Look, I LOVE the story of Tenn falling off and Mizzou stepping up.

But until I see Mizzou bring in a top 15 recruiting class like Tenn does every year the breaks stay on.

I will say that UT's '13 class was a down year. Scout had UT at #33 and Mizzou at #36. Still, if you look at prior years, there has been a bigger difference in UT's ability to bring in recruits...and that with with Dooley and Kiffin.

2012 UT - #22; MU - #34
2011 UT - #10; MU - #47
2010 UT - #16; MU - #27
2009 UT - #8; MU - #38

UT's problem has been poor player development and attrition. Hopefully, Jones won't have that same problem.

The worst season UT has had in many years was last year, and that was heavily influenced by the fact that Dooley didn't recruit well and Jones only had 1 month on the job before signing day.

Mizzou may well have a brighter future than UT. But for that to be the case, they will have to start bringing in much better talent than they have lately.
