quote:Ugh, look, i think they are equally as good. But watching the game saturday, the windows Mett was throwing the ball into were ridiculous. Murray was throwing to wide open receivers all day. This isnt Murrays fault at all, but it led to Mett looking more impressive. It doesnt mean Mett is better, because im sure Murray could have made those throws as well. And your last drive argument it a terrible one for anyone with football knowledge. With over 4 minutes left, you have your entire playbook still open. With 1:45, you can no longer run the ball
Mettenberger had 1:47 to get his team a field goal. He failed. Murray took about that much time to get a needed touchdown.
LSU D > Georgia D is still the general consensus correct?
Mettenberger has not been more impressive than Murray. just stop.

LSU couldn't run the ball because LSU couldn't run the ball, had nothing to do with the clock.
the game literally ended with 4 consecutive whiffs from mettenberger.
Yes, some of mettenbergers passes looked damn good. but some didn't. enough didn't that his team lost the game. Sure its tough lose ground on a personal award because of a team performance, but unlike JFF, who played out of his mind good against Alabama, we are left with a game in which Mettenberger could have done more, and his failure to do more cost his team the game.
Sure, if LSU wins out and Mettenberger looks dominant the rest of the way he can win the heisman, but we have no reason to believe either of those things will happen.
