People fret way too much.

Most of the 4 spots will be an open and shut case.

Some years there will be 2-3 teams thinking they deserve the last spot and those that don't get it will bitch.

They would bitch under any system though.

Can someone explain to me why they just don't use the current BCS system and take the top 4-6 teams?

And don't forget one included being upset about a better team being included too. Can that actually happen...again. I laugh.

I think the first big stink is when the committee selects a team ranked 6 or below in both AP and Coaches is selected.

A) hope it's more former athletically associated personnel than media (yes, there is some overlap)

B) no media from a major news outlet or one that broadcasts games (e.g. ESPN). think that should be a disqualifier on automatic-bias grounds.

C) that dude that always voted Boise #1 from (I think) LA Times shouldn't even be allowed in media rooms

D) if Bo Jackson, Booger McFarland, and Archie Manning aren't on it, it's not right (or at least invited)

E) the "computers", e.g. Sagarin, will still be there for reference similar to the RPI in basketball.
