Yeah, but you will just go back to being an NIT team this season. Two more seasons of NIT, Kennedy gets fired. Well...probably.
And this has to do with, MSU was worried that OM was passing them and fired Stans, how?

Austin is a real city...Oxford is a college town.

I'm not bragging. I'm showing reasons why my earlier post was correct. Your deflection is obvious though.

Stansbury was not fired because of Ole Miss. He was fired because he was not performing as well as he once was + discipline issues with the team. Andy Kennedy had nothing to do with it. You didn't even make the tournament until after Stans had left.

ok maybe I maybe stretched the Stans situation to fit my point but I think I'm spot on with my take on Mullen's fan support.

As far as the UT-Austin and Oxford comparison, you obviously do not know much about either because they are more similar that you realize.
#BrothersfromOTHERmothers
Such is the facade of OM idiots that fancy themselves elites in a world that considers them average.

How would you know?

Ole Miss returning to a team that makes bowl games has not helped Mullen that's for sure. He is not helping himself with choking away games in Auburn though.
ETA: I am sure Cohen's success in baseball is accelerating Bianco getting fired too though.

Dude that is such a poor comparison of each culture. Houston has more people than the state of MS. Texas has huge population. The endowment money is not what I am referring to. Nice try.

You answered your own question. We were awful, hired Kennedy, were on the bubble for years and made it last year. That process is called "becoming competetive".
It takes 7 years to "become competitive" in basketball -- at a school only 5 years removed from a Sweet 16 upon his hiring?

Wow. In what ways is Ole Miss more like Texas? Academics? No. While I don't put stock in the USNews rankings, State was ranked ahead of Ole Miss in the most recent rankings. Size of school or city? No. Student credentials? No. Endowment? No.
The med school is in Jackson and is for all intents and purposes a separate campus with a separate culture. The vet school is in all likelihood harder to get into than the med school. I haven't checked recently, though.
Let's drop the pretense and snobbery. From someone who didn't go to either, but who works and socializes with alums of both schools, there isn't much difference at all. The purported differences are pretty shallow and insignificant.

To some extent. People have been frusterated with Bianco for a few years. People get tired of the same thing over and over again. He is doing just enough to where he can throw his resume out there and say we cant fire him. Cohen getting over the hump hopefully lights a fire under his arse and if nothing else shows that a hire is out there to be made, even though admittingly we dont have the tradition as MSU, we have a very attractive program right now.

They work off each other at both schools -- and anyone denying that is an idiot with no perspective.

Let me guess. You are a current student at Ole Miss with ZERO "real world" perspective.

The point I was making is that Texas IS what they pretend to be. A large portion of the Ole Miss culture is PRETENDING to be what Texas is.
By all means, continue comparing yourself to Texas though... It will garner tons of laughs in the real world...

Are you comparing degrees or the culutures of the fan bases?
Posted on 9/24/13 at 2:14 pm to HottyToddy7
Yeah, I know my brother has been fed up with Bianco for a while. Not sure who you guys will go after...I don't think McDonnell would leave Louisville. You should still be able to make a good hire though.

Hey. What's going on in here?

I am a working for a fortune 500 company and have been out of school for over 20 years. What I am talking about has to do with class and culture. Something that neither of you simpletons seem to understand.
