The only thing I can say about sorantable is that he didn't go to Ole Miss, was a sidewalker, and it permeated his entire posting style.

Taxman posted this a couple days ago and a few of you agreed with it.

What does this mean exactly and how would I post differently had I attended Ole Miss, which is just as full of dumbfricks as State or my own alma mater, Delta State?

Please elaborate.

I don't get the whole negative view towards sidewalkers. Some of the biggest Ole Miss fans I know are sidewalkers. I think too often sidewalkers and bandwagoners get grouped together

I've been an Ole Miss fan for 20 years and get talked down to on this board because I didn't go to school there.

I do agree that it's stupid and I think your last point is correct.

One of my best friends who actually started me liking OM around 1996 when we were little didnt go to OM. Instead he went and balled out on the baseball field for MC. But you wont find a bigger OM fan.

My parent's are sidewalkers. They didn't even go to college. If not for them, I wouldn't have given two shits about OM.

I think most Ole Miss fans in the State didn't attend the university. Same for State. Attending one of those two schools just isn't in everyone's plans.

Sigh, why can we not put the sidewalk fans elsewhere like Southern???

Just kidding. Nothing wrong with sidewalk fans and it takes a special person to be a sidewalk fan of Ole Miss. Our ROI on fandom is pretty low.

I love Ole Miss. I always have. They're the only sports team that I follow emotionally, which is silly in and of itself.

Sometimes I wish I had attended school there and sometimes I'm glad I didn't.

I don't know but you can tell. I don't know if it's the fact that you're from the state and you have some Love/Hate thing with MSU but you can tell.

I personally don't have anything wrong with it and as another person it takes a "special" person to be an Ole Miss sidewalker

Oh and let's go fighting okras!!!

I can most certainly tell you that you wish you had ... not for the super ridiculous stuff but the little things that made it awesome.
