We've got a 10 month old lab/beagle that just loves barking at crap all night long. I'm a heavy sleeper so she doesn't wake me up, but my wife is a super light sleeper and I don't want my neighbors to hate me, so...any tips besides beating the crap out of it?

Antifreeze will shut him up.
But really...I don't know. Beat them?

Can you bring him/her inside? Our dogs would/do bark all night until we bring them in (then they just sleep).

uh, I hope this isn't really an option.
Just cage him at night. Beagles will bark at lots of things. He'll be fine in his cage.

This.
You can also put it on your penis. Don't press the shock button until you are coming (it's awesome).

We let her inside for about an hour or so after supper, but she's an outside dog.

No, I was joking.
We have a fenced-in backyard. Don't or didn't see the need of getting a cage.

We've got one, but we keep it on our son to keep him in line when we go to Applebee's.

Dogs weren't meant to be alone all the time, they travel in packs and fricking hate rolling solo. Either get another dog or don't get pets while being a half arse "outdoor" pet owners. That shits for cats. And frick cats.

Please. We got the dog for our kids and they play with her outside all the time. Instead of being cooped up in the house, she has a huge backyard to play in. Plus, if animals were meant to live indoors, God wouldn't have given them all that fur.

We used a shock collar on our Bullmastiff and it worked great. First bark got a mild shock, second bark got a harder shock, etc. She was great after that.

Have to try it. The only thing I'm worried about will it keep her from barking at something/someone we want her to bark at? We live in a safe area, but you never know.

I didn't say dogs belonged indoors, I said they evolved to travel and live in packs. Your dog sees it as every night being separated from the pack, and is pissed. Dogs don't do that much playing by themselves. It's probably depressed and shivering all night barking hoping someone will come pet it for a second, before being shunned again. Also dogs > kids. Make them sleep outside.
