What? No blackout? Richt afraid of a jinx?

So GameDay returns and the question is whether the result will be similar to last time...when Alabama visited in 2008 and proved UGA to be pretenders.
Not sure what to think of this game but wondering which UGA offensive line will show up...the one that showed up against South Carolina or the one that couldn't protect against Clemson and couldn't open the ground game against North Texas.
We're in trouble on defense regardless, so the only hope is that the offense can move the ball, sustain some drives, and put up points.

So because we DONT do a blackout, Richt is afraid?

I think if he's confident, we go out there with any uniforms the players think is cool...and they like the black jersies once in a while. Richt seems afraid to do anything now that might seem like a gimmick...maybe it's superstition, maybe it's worry about motivating the opponent...who knows?
I just think a confident coach with a program that believes it can take anybody flips a bird and wears whatever the hell they want...

They're wearing what they want and those are the reds.

Ummm...no...pretty much ended with the 2008 butt-whoopin against 'Bama....had nothing to do with players not wanting to wear black jersies anymore (or heck...the black britches for that matter).
All superstition and coach worrying about egg on his face if he loses a game and a bunch of hicks will blame it on not wearing silver britches or some such crap...nothing to do with what players prefer.

Actually just the opposite, if you are confident as a program and the team, there is no need for gimmicks which tricking up unis are.
Do you think Bama and Saban are coming out in some kind of fricked up colors? Don't think, but I do think they are fairly confident in where the team and program are.

09 UF and Boise with the power ranger uniforms.
We don't need gimmicks and shite to get up for a huge game like this. While I agree jerseys have nothing to do with it, it doesn't mean he's scared. Get over yourself.

More than likely not and neither would UGA if it came
out with black jersey's.Red AND Black are the official
school colors. I'm sure the players would love to wear
'em...can't believe how many freakin people throw a hissy fit if we wear black jerseys...but don't go overboard and put that shite on we had against UFAG

Ain't no more than likely to it, they won't. Tape your goddamn ankles, suit the frick up and play the game. No need to play dress up, it ain't a fricking tea party.

Listen I love the black jerseys. they look sharp as hell and I wish we wore them more often. But wearing them this week, more than any other, would look gimmicky.

Blackouts are more pussified "look at me" bullshite. Show up in you home uni's and get the job done.
This isn't a fricking fashion show.

Seriously...what next? Weren't the Bama blackout and those damn things we wore against Boise enough?
I got it...how about some flashy ascots and matching towels. I bet its Bobo's idea. We need to fire that loser.

I love the Black jerseys (hated the Chick-fil-a kickoff jerseys), and would like to see us wear them semi-regularly, like maybe every home Auburn game or something. I agree that this wouldn't be a great time to wear them, but people need to get over the 08 Bama game.
We've worn the black ones for 3 big games and kicked complete arse in 2 of them.

The blackout jerseys are sharp, even you can't deny that. The jerseys have nothing to do with the team. I don't think we should wear them Saturday but we should wear them again.

The black jerseys are cool looking but it is a fricking gimmick. I got no problem with them if it gets the kids pumped up as long as they are ready to play. That shite was fake juice when Bama stomped us last time.

That's why I'm saying make it a new "thing" so that it doesn't come across as fake juice, but a real part of our uniform. Most fans (UGA and opposing fans) admit they look great, we know the players loved them when they were worn, so I'd love to see it be a regular thing for maybe the Auburn home game every year or bowl games or something like that.

I'm fine with them bringing out the black jerseys again one day but not LSU. Not a game of this stature. I don't care about the reasons.

That, vs Auburn, anytime really other than just big games. I liked the AU idea of every time we play them at home or shite even OOC
