A win against Arky St. should put you guys in the top 25.
I smell a run.

Wisconsin should drop out (Ohio State), as should Notre Dame (Oklahoma). There's also a good chance Ole Miss does, if they lose to Alabama. If you beat Vanderbilt, you should be very close, if not in the top 25 next sunday

Vandy and Florida as 2 of our next 4 games present the best opportunity. Both tough, and both games that if we lose, the world doesn't end and our ability to make a bowl game this year is still very much intact.
But win on the road at Vandy and head to the game at Georgia with a 5-0 record, suddenly the conference and the nation will start paying attention. Get past both Vandy and Florida (possible since its in Columbia) and go into our homecoming game against South Carolina with a 6-1 record, then there's a national buzz brewing about that game. We'd be ranked in Top 25, already bowl eligible and playing with nothing to lose and everything to gain the remainder of the season.
Worst case, lose to both Vandy and Florida in addition to losing at Georgia, well all the naysayers will still be chirping louder than ever because although 4-3 overall we'd be 0-3 in the SEC and staring at a second consecutive 0-4 start in conference play. That makes it too easy for the "Mizzou can't compete in the SEC" yahoos to chirp about, and it will be used to recruit against us. Even if we later were to go on and beat Tennessee and Kentucky after that and make a bowl game, the damage would probably be done.
My point, if I have one, is I think its really important to at least beat one of either Vandy or Florida if we can find a way, in order to start establishing respect. If we beat both of them, and the opportunity is there, well then suddenly Mizzou will be a nationally hyped 6-1 SEC team with good publicity galore that can be used for recruiting and bowl prospects and such. The three game stretch after Arky State may well define our season.

I'm drinking the kool aid. Not because we're 3-0 but because of how we played getting there. We will beat Vandy by 3 scores. I truly think that is going to be a statement game for this team with the way the season has shaped up. I have a feeling they are going to come out and make a statement that what everyone saw last year is NOT representative of Mizzou football. I think they'll make a huge statement with that game.

IF we could beat both Vandy and Florida, I'd feel really good about the season.

I think we'll handle business against Vandy, but I just don't think we'll be able to score enough against Florida's defense to squeeze out a win.

Stat of the day. Mizzou has scored 141 points through 3 games this year. Scored 136 through 5 last year. 62 of that in the first game.

Really? I could see just the opposite happening, where we'd stumble on the road at Vandy, where we should win, and then beat Florida in the Zou. Florida's defense is very good, yes; but they will have to find a way to score more than we do, and our offense is definitely better than Tennessee, or Toledo.

Vandy has looked pretty bad so far (with the exception of half of the Ole Miss game), I don't think we'll screw that one up. But then again, we are Mizzou.

Exactly. I hope CGP can have them focused and ready.
