No, I think a lot of people didn't like TT, even from his Ole Miss days. I was in high school, so I can't point to specifics, but I remember having that perception at the time.

Look, it's not like my jimmies are all rustled over that, and I doubt they were at that time. It's just something that happens in sports that any fanbase would be upset about it. It's the same thing that happens when "bulletin board material" comes about from something stupid someone says about an upcoming opponent. Does it really matter? No. Does it add to rivalries and the fun of being a sports fan? Sure.

ETA: Sports fans, either consciously or subconsciously, want to create animosity towards opponents. It wouldn't be fun if it were a lovefest every week.

I understand tubby isn't folks favorite. I was just under the impression that started when he got to auburn. I'm ok with him pissing folks off for harmless antics prior to that. I was just curious because I, like you, don't remember anything from ole miss.

I guess this is what my OP is getting at. Is this something that most other fan bases would still be upset about or is this something relatively unique to the psyche of LSU fans?
